{2012 Holiday Gift Guide} Exederm {Review + Giveaway}

Eczema is a big part of my life and something that I have suffered with for a very long time. When my younger sister was little her eczema stayed on her bottom and it would be so bad that she would not even be able to set down in the bath tub. It was that horrible. She eventually grew out of it and does not seem to have many problems with eczema today, whereas I do. It would have been extremely amazing to have a product back then like we have today.

Exederm’s philosophy is simple: avoid irritants that trigger eczema always use the mildest ingredients possible.

We were sent the following products in the Exederm line to try out not only for myself, but little Natalie who suffers from it also.

We were sent the flare control cream, baby bath, baby shampoo, and baby moisturizer.

When I first started babysitting Natalie, I would notice how she always seemed to scratch her neck, so when I gave her a bath I noticed that she had a couple of flare ups, and she seemed to be itchy a lot. Knowing the signs of eczema I knew that this must be taken care of early.

We begin using the baby bath and shampoo. I first noticed that there was not much of a smell, and we all like our babies to smell baby fresh, but sometimes it is not the best thing for them. Exederm is free of the following chemicals that are found in many other shampoos:

No Fragrance
No Color or Dyes
No Parabens
No (SLS) Sodium Laureth Sulfate
No Lanolin
No (CAPB) Cocamidopropyl Betaine
No Propylene Glycol
No Phthalates

After bathing and shampooing Natalie with the Exederm Baby Shampoo and Baby Bath, I noticed a difference in her scratching and the redness was almost completely gone.

For the extreme cases where there are blisters or rash then the best thing that Exederm offers is their Flare Control Cream. It helps heals eczema flare-ups, and allows a fast soothing relief of itchy, dry, red skin.

Seeing how the cold season is starting to catch up with us, it is important to have the right type of protection for your skin.

Buy It! You can find any of the above products on Amazon with the most expensive one being $14.99!

would love to try those, as our 4 yr old has bad eczema. his skin is never 100% fine. either the itching is really bad or the skin is recovering. But never completely before the next itching period occurs.

  2. Georgette says:

My godson has bad eczema. Mine isn’t much better, but the poor kid has it worse than I do. It is a rough ride that never seems to quite let up. Maybe this product will help! I haven’t tried it, so it can’t hurt to try something new.

Our 18m old has mild excema all over her body. I’d love to try this!

We have a new one coming in Feb-2013 and if that baby is like any of the others this might be something of a benefit–sounds like a great product–thanks for this giveaway
