For this Holiday Gift Guide I am bringing you, yet another cloth diaper. This time I will be featuring a Canadian Store called, Giggle Life Baby Products. Giggle Life specializes in cloth diapers, carriers, clothing, diaper bags, footwear, and play areas.
We were sent a Giggle Life Ultra Soft One Sized Cloth Diaper in Red with TWO microfiber inserts.
I immediately fell in love with the bright red color and softness of this diaper and I could not wait for Natalie to use it. I began by prepping it which consisted of being washed in a hot/cold cycle with cloth diaper safe detergent 3-5 times and then I hung the shell to dry and tumble dried the inserts. Once the diaper was prepped it was ready to go!
Before I show you Natalie in her cute fluff, I want to tell you more about this Giggle Life diaper.
This diaper consists of two parts, a waterproof outer cover and the two inserts above. The outer cover is not made with the traditional PUL material, but with TPU. Here is what Giggle Life says about TPU:
Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is a composition specifically adapted to produce non-porous membranes which creates a waterproof seal but is still water vapor transmissible. High performance, durable, water-resistant, cut and tear resistant and soft.
The inner layer is made up of micro fleece which adds to its softness! The picture above is showing the back pocket where you stuff the inserts. I had no problem stuffing this diaper, it was easy and quick!
This diaper comes with two inserts. Each made up of 100% unbleached Microfiber. Giggle Life states that microfiber is:
an environmentally friendly material with many tiny strands. It has a 40 times more absorbent surface area over cotton, very absorbent, less bulky, easy to wash and dry.
I agree with the microfiber being very absorbent, and even though we were sent two, Natalie only needed one during the day. For nighttime the second insert would come in handy and when paired together and stuffed, they do not make the diaper too bulky.
The elastic in both the legs and the back was really flexible and it offered a perfect fit for keeping all messes at bay. The rise snaps allow for the three different sizes:
Natalie is currently in-between sizes, so we use the large setting now. This diaper does have the crossover snaps that allow for it to fit a smaller baby, or for it to even allow the diaper to be rolled like a sposie when dirty.
This One Sized diaper is made to fit babies weighing 8-33lbs, birth to potty training, and I have no doubt that it will last us that long. Not to mention that this little red diaper is a perfect color for the Christmas Season!
