If you are a follower over on my Facebook page, then you may know that TODAY is my BIRTHDAY and I am 22 years old! I thank God for giving me another year to spend on this earth and share with my family and friends.
Cricut and I have partnered up together to celebrate my birthday and after my tutorial you can find out how to win your very own Cricut!
What exactly is a Cricut Mini?
The Cricut Mini machine can cut a wide variety of materials at a whole host of sizes. You can cut images and fonts on cardstock, vinyl, vellum, fabric, chipboard, and even thin foil at sizes as small as ¼” and as large as 11 ½”. Some images are very intricate and will cut best at larger sizes, while simple images can be cut at smaller sizes.

Getting Started Guide
I know it may seem weird, but I was really interested in the guide. It was different than most instructions, it was colorful and easy to navigate and read. I was cutting and creating in no time!
To get started I downloads craft room, Cricut’s online workshop that houses all the different images. Once it was installed. I connected the Cricut to the laptop, and follow the on screen instructions. It walked me through cutting and crating and even helped me to make my first project, a Thank You note!
Before my Cricut Mini I had the dinosaur Cricut Create. I called it a dinosaur simply because it was big and didn’t fit on my work desk. With the Cricut Mini I no longer have that problem! It has its own little cubby hole.
Once I got the feel of the Cricut Mini I went on to make a friend a cup. She told me that she loved crosses. I knew that out of all Cricut’s cartridges that there had to be a beautiful cross somewhere.
This is what the cup started out as, just a plain clear tumbler.
I used craft room to set up my images that I wanted to cut and the loaded in the vinyl in the colors that I wanted. Pressed the cut button and voilà! I have this beautiful tumbler below!

So as you see with the Cricut you are not limited. You can create and vinylize everything, or even cut out an applique for a shirt!
