When I think about and dream about my future husband and children. I dream about all the lifelong bonds that we can make. I may not be realistic, but I love to dream. I can picture my kids and I in the kitchen making cookies and other delicious projects.
I do have a few ideas how I may be able to build life long bonds starting with pregnancy. Once I am married and my husband and I find out we are pregnant, I would love to be able to document every aspect. Maybe do a creative weekly pregnancy photo, as well as fill in a baby book, because I know that once baby is here, I may forget some things : )
After baby is born I would love to have a photographer come to the hospital and take some pictures to capture the first few hours of life.
Back in the 1990s when I was born, after babies were born they were whisked straight away to the nursery for cleaning and testing, but now they have a new protocol called, “The Magic Hour”. The magic hour starts the minute baby is born. The baby is placed on the moms chest, skin to skin to warm up. Once the baby has two temps 98.6 and up within the hour then they will be taken to the nursery for a bath and a few tests. Then they will be brought back to mom for more skin to skin. I think the magic hour is another great way to create a lifelong bond, because after 9 months on the inside, baby is ready to meet mommy and daddy.
Now that baby is home and you are trying to get back into a normal routine, and need to have a free hand while doing a few house chores, Boba makes the perfect wrap or carrier for that. I love how I can simply place baby in the wrap and have them snugged in while I help the other children or even fold clothes. Baby is definitely never too young to learn the importance of clean clothing.
Once baby is a bit older and not so frail, I think it would be great to create a bond by going on a hike or just visiting the Farmer’s Market, or maybe even a pumpkin patch! With Boba the possibilities are endless!
