I was sent a 4 pack of Natural White Woolies along with a handwritten note and some lite reading information!
First of all I love the way that these came packaged in their little bag, it was a nice touch. These Natural White Woolies are made from 100% Canadian wool, and they are completely non toxic and chemical free, unlike the leading dryer sheets that are so popular. Dryer balls are not only cost efficient, but they save you time and energy, plus they don’t leave a carbon footprint! These Woolies are not like many dryer balls that I have seen, they are huge.
They are 10 inches in diameter and are felted over 4 times. It reminds me of a big snowball, but please encourage your kids not to throw them, or eat them, as they do hurt when thrown at the head, or so I have been told. I have slowly been in the process of changing every little thing possible to live a more green and healthy life, but being 21 and still living with your parents who are stuck in the oldies can be a bit more challenging than if I lived on my own.
Once I read about all the harmful substances that are in dryer sheets and what they could possibly cause, I decided that it was time we move into a more greener direction, thus we chose Woolies Dryer Balls. I love the softness and the lower drying time that these balls create! Not to mention that you can even choose to get them scented, we didn’t. Just simply toss four or more into your dryer with wet clothes and turn the dial to about half of what you would normally do, and volia, dryer, healthier clothes! Please bare in mind that using four balls versus ten balls will have a significant difference in the dryness of clothes. Right now I have about 12 balls in our dryer that we use for our large loads and I am just now starting to see about half of our normal drying time.
I do have to caution you that if you wash and dry sheets or pants while using dryer balls to be careful when shaking out clothing due to flying balls! Whenever you are done drying just simply leave the balls in for the next time, and enjoy not having to buy another dryer sheet ever again as these can last for a very long time.

These would be amazing to use since you are technically not supposed to use dryer sheets with babies…Plus I always forget to put in the dryer sheets and my husband gets angry so the balls would be awesome!

Hehehe And I completely get what you are saying about your parents being stuck in the old ways. I’ve tried to convert my parents to greener things and they just don’t get it. Of course…I may be buying some wool dryer balls for my Mom and Step-dad for Christmas so they stop using those nasty dryer sheets! I’ve been curious about these, do they create additional noise when in the dryer? Or, are they soft enough that the ball hitting the dryer drum is unnoticeable? My husband works nights so it gets interesting trying to keep up with household chores during everyone’s waking hours.

Are they really 10 inches in diameter? That’s.. very big. Like.. small playground ball big. Anyway, I have some Nellie’s dryer balls that are made out of rubber – they look like dog toys – but they smell funny when they get hot. I’d like to try some wool dryer balls like these.
10 inches is pretty large for our dryers at our apartment complex.
