MonkiSee “See and Say Story Books”
We were sent Monkeys Like the Color and Know Your Monkey. These books are short and simple stories that are intended to be used from birth to 3 years. It helps them to learn their colors and to know their body parts.
Each book features the two monkeys, Howie and Skip. I love the colorful pages and the clean and concise words! These are great to use with your little ones to show them the word as you say it and then show the picture or part that it is talking about.
Natalie and I have to look at these books together because she is still to young to know what “don’t rip the page” means. She just turned a year old and now that she can go her attention span is not very long, so we don’t use these books very much. It would be great to have these in a hard book copy so that she can actually “read” them herself more often.
MonkiSee Flash card Collection
We were sent “All About Me”, “Word Pairs”, “Around the House”, and “Colors and Shapes”. These are a wonderful tool to use to teach baby starting a 3 months.
These flash cards are not like any others that I have seen. They are 5×8’s and bright with easy to read wording. Just simply read the word and then flip it over to show the picture. Each set contains 40 fun and colorful cards, that are sure to have your baby reading, just as soon as they can talk, after all we all learn from repetition!
We really like using these cards, but I believe that this is another thing that we need to hold of on until she is a bit older so that they do not get destroyed, plus it will be great to use for repetition after she begins to speak.
MonkiSee Baby DVDs
We were sent Actions Words, Around the House and the 6 DVD set for the Baby Reading Program. These are the best reading DVDs that I have ever seen. They actually capture her attention and keep it held long enough for me to cook supper, and with the 6 DVD set you can set it so that it goes from dvd to dvd!
We started using this reading program with Natalie when she was probably 9 months old, and she just turned a year old, so that is in 3 short months that she has been using the program, and I can see an improvement in her speech and understanding. Think of it almost as speech therapy for your baby, and since then Natalie has shown a love for books, and I have no doubt that she will be a big reader like me!
